Avoid Drug Driving Conviction.
A drug driving conviction is a criminal conviction. If you pay the infringement notice penalty it is recorded as a criminal conviction.. Many employers will terminate your employment if you are convicted of a drug driving offence. If you wish to work overseas a drug driving conviction will make it difficult for you to obtain a work visa in many countries. Most professions will have a criminal conviction policy that may affect your ability to practise your profession. You may fail a working with children check. A criminal conviction can cause problems for a firearms licence and a security industry licence. The only way to avoid a conviction is to send the matter to court where I will present evidence to the court of your good character, family circumstances and employment and seek to obtain a non conviction penalty for you.
Prior Conviction For Drug Driving.
If you have been previously found guilty of drug driving the Magistrate has the power to sentence you to jail. I have appeared for many repeat drug drivers and have a high success rate in saving you from a jail term. I will present a detailed plea for mercy to the court on your behalf. I will focus on achieving either a fine or community work order for you.
Licence Suspended Immediately By The Police.
If your licence was suspended by police on the spot for drug driving it remains suspended until the end of the court case. With court delays your drug driving case may take 12 months to be completed and what happens if you are ultimately acquitted? You have done 12 months cold! The government does not pay compensation for lost income. I can apply immediately to the Court to cancel the suspension notice and get you straight back on the road.
